BASIC TEAM MANAGER INSTRUCTIONS FOR STARTING THE SEASON
Below are the essential tasks to help you get your team ready for the season ahead.

The Team Manager plays a vital role in the smooth operation of the Club, and we truly appreciate your dedication to fulfilling this responsibility. The OOPS Netball Club thanks you for contributing your time as a Team Manager this season.

Before the Season Starts​​

Confirm First Game and Training Times

Check your team’s first game details via the fixture link in the menu.

Confirm the training schedule with your coach if you haven't been informed yet.

Obtain the Full Team List
The full team list will be provided to you by the Team Manager Co-Ordinator, including player contact details. -
Contact Players
Reach out to the players on your list to share the game and training details. -
Create a whatsapp group for all players/parents

Check Uniform Requirements

Ensure each player has the correct uniform. If there is an issue, contact the Uniform Coordinator to request a loan replacement Email oopsnetballuniforms@gmail.com

If a player doesn't have a uniform, refer them to the uniforms page and to the Uniform Coordinator for assistance.

Before the First Game

Organize a calendar for scoring

Set up a scoring schedule with the players' parents.
Detailed “How to Score” instructions are available on the Whitehorse Netball website here if needed.

Ensure Sufficient Players
If you don’t have enough players for the game, contact the Coaching Coordinator for assistance in filling spots. -
If your team is playing another OOPS Netball Team ensure the first listed team wears an alternate coloured bib.

On Game Day
If the venue has electronic scoring, make sure the team’s details are correct and update computer as required. Instructions for operating the computer scoring system are available at the venue. Please go to Mission Control if you need assistance.
It's good idea to take a photo of the scoring screen at the end of the game, as occasionally there are issues with the results updating in the Association's system, so it's great to have a copy for reference.

Here at OOPS Netball Club we have a dedicated group of volunteers who create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere bringing people together. From coaching and officiating to organising events and managing logistics, volunteers contribute their time, expertise, and energy.
NETBALL
These passionate individuals act as role models, inspiring athletes of all ages to pursue their sporting dreams. Their commitment fosters a sense of belonging and community spirit, making sports accessible to a wider audience, regardless of socio-economic backgrounds. Moreover, volunteers enable community sports to thrive economically, as their efforts reduce operational costs, allowing more resources to be channeled into improving facilities and programs.
